IN SUBJECTS, SUSPECTS, VICTIMS AND WITNESSES
Major Pendarakis (Ret.) has served the law enforcement profession for more than 30 years. She
has taught hundreds of local, state, federal and military law enforcement officers as well as private sector investigators the art of reading body lanuage, interpreting verbal and non-verbal cues and perceiving
deception by studying a person's facial expressions and eye movement. Techniques for interviewing and interrogating subjects, suspects, victims and witnesses are integrated with the study of
body language to help investigators develop skill at detecting deception.

This presentation will outline the importance of the proper evidence collection and preservation
techniques, as well as, summarizing the techniques the forensic laboratory utilizes while processing
